Funded Projects

So far, £12.8 million has been raised through The Health Lottery in the South West.

Thanks to this money, 386 of local projects have been funded by People’s Health Trust, since 2011.

The Crafty Fox Cafe 'n' Hub

Were awarded £41,663 for a two-year project to develop previous community hub project in the Foxhole/ Blatchcombe Rd area of Paignton and it now seeks to further develop the advice and guidance, training, activity and social opportunities it offers to local residents.

The project is led by a management committee of local residents and the hub and café are staffed by local volunteers.

Were awarded £19,310 for an 18-month project to continue to develop a local community site as a popular resource for local people living in and around a housing estate in Torquay, Devon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The project will deliver weekly gardening and fortnightly cooking sessions and regular community events, and will introduce new gardening activities, including guided trips to other community gardens during winter months. The project brings local people together, fosters new friendships around popular interests, and provides many with something to look forward to throughout the year.
